Short answer: Send the same short review request after every finished job. Do not offer anything for it. Do not only ask happy customers. The plumbers who win the map usually get new reviews every week.

Reviews are one of the biggest factors in the map pack for plumbers. Pace matters more than a huge old pile of five-star ratings with nothing new for months.

“Nothing moves the needle more than reviews. But, it's the pace of the reviews. It's not necessarily the amount of reviews.”

The text I want you to send

Keep it short. Something like: “Thanks for having us out today. If we did a good job, would you mind leaving a quick Google review? Here is the link:” then paste your Google review link from your Business Profile. Send it the same day the job is done, while the work is still fresh.

You can also show a QR code on your phone that opens the same review link. Stand there while they open it if they are willing. Do not write the review for them. Do not offer a discount, gift card or refund for a review.

Use real job language, not scripts that break the rules

You cannot tell a customer what to write. You can remind them what you did: drain cleaning, water heater install, leak detection. If they ask what to say, point them back to the work, then let them write it in their own words. Keywords from real customers also help you see which service pages to build next. That review-to-keyword loop is in my review video on the channel.

“The first criteria for for uh Tampa emergency plumber is that they offer 24hour emergency service and then reviews.”

Photos and reviews together

Upload job photos to the profile every week: the truck, the crew, before and after. Reviews and fresh photos tell Google and the next caller that you are a working company in that area.
